We had a wonderful time on Saturday, 20 September, gathering for the 6th edition of our famous CCUK neighborhood walk series. Starting at Hackney Central station, we explored the area’s fascinating layers of history while also taking in the new, youthful energy that makes Hackney such a dynamic part of London today. From stories of its past to the bustling creativity and community spirit now shaping its streets, the walk was a great way to experience both tradition and transformation side by side. The group walked past the old site of Hackney Chinese Community Services, strolled through the green spaces of London Fields, followed the Regent’s Canal, and ended with lively conversation at Five Points Brewery. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow Cornellians, meet new faces, and experience one of East London’s most vibrant neighborhoods together.
