Kreative Talk with Masaya Inaba
Cornell alumnus Rafael Portillo AAP ’02, founder of Artificial Kreativity, launched a Kreative Talk series as an initiative to meet the artists and take a closer look at their career journey, explore the choices they made, and the experiences that defined them. This is a great opportunity for students and early-year creative practitioners to learn about various professions, including art, architecture, music, and fashion, and how each approaches creativity differently.
From Manga inspirations in Brazil to the prestigious Studio 4°C in Tokyo, we have invited director and CGI artist, Masaya Inaba, to share his story about how he entered the world of Japanese animation. This includes personal reflections and examples from his work on ChaO, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc 3, All You Need is Kill, and MUTAFUKAZ. He will offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at the making of complex animated sequences including working with traditional anime painters, and the relationship between hand drawn animation, background art, and CGI.
Cornell Alumni are invited and are offered discounted tickets at £15. Make your General Admission ticket selection, go to check-out and then enter Discount Code: AKGuest-Cornell.
