Kreative Talk with Eric Wong

Cornell alumnus Rafael Portillo AAP ’02, founder of Artificial Kreativity, launched a Kreative Talk series as an initiative to meet the artists and take a closer look at their career journey, explore the choices they made, and the experiences that defined them. This is a great opportunity for students and early-year creative practitioners to learn about various professions, including art, architecture, music, and fashion, and how each approaches creativity differently.

Eric is the concept designer behind the world of “U“ in Mamoru Hosoda’s Oscar-nominated anime film “Belle.” We thought this may be of interest and kindly ask if you could share this with your readers, community, or creative network.

In this talk, Wong takes you behind the scenes of his collaboration with one of Japan’s most visionary directors. He offers a rare insight into the design process of an anime film, revealing how architectural styles, urban infrastructure, branding, fashion, and 3D modeling created one of anime’s most imaginative digital worlds.

Cornell Alumni are invited and are offered discounted tickets at £15. Make your General Admission ticket selection, go to check-out and then enter Discount Code: AKGuest-Cornell.
