CCUK Cares: A Volunteer Spirit in Action

At Cornell Club of the UK (CCUK), we take pride in giving back to our communities through the Cornell Caresinitiative. This program unites alumni, parents, and friends of Cornell in the spirit of service, embodying Ezra Cornell’s timeless mission “to do the greatest good.” While Cornellians traditionally gather twice a year for Cornell Cares, CCUK aims to engage our members in more regular acts of service throughout the year.

Recently, Board member Cole Glover and fellow Cornellian Bumjoo volunteered at Food For All Kitchen UK in Euston. They spent a Saturday morning preparing meals for the community, contributing to the fight against food poverty and food waste in London. It was a rewarding experience and one that CCUK hopes to replicate with future volunteer opportunities.

Get Involved with CCUK Cares

We are always looking for new ways to give back! If you have a volunteer opportunity in mind or are interested in joining an upcoming event, please reach out to Cole at burloncole@gmail.com.

Two Ways to Volunteer with CCUK:

  1. Pioneers: Ready to explore and vet new volunteer opportunities for the club. Pioneers are enthusiastic about trying something new, even if the results are uncertain, valuing the spirit of discovery and the intent to make a difference.
  2. Volunteers: Keen to lend a hand and make a tangible impact in the community. Volunteers are committed to showing up and contributing where they can.

We encourage all members to keep an eye out for ways to give back. Together, we can strengthen the communities that support us and make a lasting difference!
