On a crisp London day, five Cornell alumni reconnected for the 8th edition of the popular CCUK Neighborhoods Walk, expertly curated and led by Hong Noh (MBA ’18). Designed to bring local Big Red alumni together while exploring the city’s dynamic urban landscape, this edition took participants on a memorable three-hour journey tracing the Thames from Southbank to Battersea.
Starting at the iconic London Eye, the group ambled along the picturesque riverbank, taking in breathtaking views of Parliament before passing the imposing MI6 headquarters. The walk offered a fascinating mix of classic heritage and modern engineering as the group traversed Nine Elms—marveling at the famous sky-high Embassy Gardens floating pool and the striking U.S. Embassy, before winding through the lush pathways of Battersea Park. The afternoon wrapped up in true British fashion with lively conversation and refreshments at the historic Prince Albert pub.
More than just a scenic stroll, the event served as a vibrant forum for sharing practical advice on navigating life in the UK. Alumni snapped photos at famous landmarks, swapped insider tips on settling into London, and traded fond memories of their time on the Hill, tracing the unique paths that brought each of them from Ithaca to the UK.
